Chinook Lake Campground

We’re camped at Chinook Lake campground tonight. It’s not too far from the border between British Columbia and Alberta, although getting there required a few kilometres of corrugated gravel roads. All the crockery rattled away; I guess that’s what normally happens inside a caravan too but then you don’t have to hear it.

We walked around the lake, too, but that’s another post.

Nestled in our reserved site.
Sites here feel pretty private, even though there’s about 100 of them. Each site includes level space for camping, a fire pit, and a picnic table.
About to enjoy lunch together.
Even found a geocache located near the campsites.

  1. Beautiful campsite again! It’s so nice that you have privacy …. plus a fire-pit and picnic table! Nice to be nestled in the trees like that, and also to be close to a lake!
Would you use the fire-pit, or are the nights quite warm too?

    1. It is a good site, the provincial parks here do a good job as long as you are fairly self-contained. The nights do cool down, we used the fire pit briefly tonight, but it’s not really necessary.
