I took the opportunity to stroll alongside the river during my lunch break. Usually, the river is not quite so picturesque, but this day was unusually calm. Even better, there were no other people around, so I felt compelled to take the opportunity to check out the small jetty which I usually walked straight past.

There was a waterbird drying itself on the post on the end of the jetty. Unfortunately, it was spooked when I tried to get a closer photo.
