Queensboro Bridge Walk

So, I decided to go for a little walk this morning. The Queensboro Bridge is not too far from our hotel (you can see it on my previous posts), so I thought it would be nice to walk across it and over Roosevelt Island.

Cyclists take the left side, pedestrians the right (as viewed here).
View back towards Long Island City.
Baseball diamond on Roosevelt Island.
The Roosevelt Island Tramway (which is a cable car). Hoping to take it ourselves later, only costs the same as a Subway fare (i.e. $2.75).
Long range selfie.
The bridge and I.
Lovely separated cycle path. Perth needs more of these.
The view down First Avenue.

  1. That was a nice early morning walk! Has your body clock adjusted to New York time yet? Hope you enjoy another day of sight-seeing 🙂

    1. Haven’t noticed any issues with adjusting to New York time. I think that perhaps the lack of sleep for 48 hours meant that I had no body clock left, so after getting a night of sleep, I was all reset onto local time.

  2. We both looked through all your photos, we are very impressed,
Very interesting, you are a good photographer!
Good to hear that you have no trouble with the time difference,
We had a “schoof” family reunion this morning with a breakfast
at the Willow Pond at Nicholson Road. Very nice.
After that Coffee at Uncle harry’s place, reminiscing about our
60 years in Australia, was a lot of fun.
    Love from us
