Tews Falls

Today, we visited waterfalls once again! This time it was Tews Falls and Webster Falls in the Spencer Gorge/Webster Falls Conservation Area. I can’t find any online consensus as to whether it is Tew Falls, Tews Falls, or Tew’s Falls, so I will split the difference and run with Tews Falls.

Tews Falls is a ribbon waterfall which is the highest in the Hamilton area. To get to it, we drove through Dundas, which is quite a scenic area and has lots of expensive looking mansions.

The Falls come down the escarpment overlooking Hamilton and Dundas.
The Falls again.
Some kind tourist offered to take our picture.
There was also a higher observation point, from which you could not see the base of the falls but did get this view.
There are also some walking trails in the area which look like they would be lovely to try some time.

  1. Absolutely beautiful waterfalls! Awesome to see, as well as the lovely surrounding forest! The walk trails look really nice too!

    1. You could easily spend a few weeks just exploring hiking trails around here. Probably best to do a little earlier or later though, when it’s not as warm.
