Webster Falls

After visiting Tews Falls, we visited nearby Webster Falls. It did not look quite like the pictures I had seen, as the volume of water going over the Falls was significantly less (understandable at the height of summer). Nevertheless, they were still good to see, and there is some adjoining parkland which makes for quite the nice setting. Bonus: I found a geocache by accident!

The creek and bridge above the falls. At one time the bridge was actually a small dam, which diverted water used to run a hydroelectric power plant.

The Falls again. You can imagine that at other times the full width of the falls would be utilised, rather than most water going through the region on the left.

A suspicious crack in a tree. I said to Annelise “That looks like an obvious spot for a geocache.” As I got closer, I could see something inside the crack (not particularly well hidden). I pulled it out, and…
… a geocache! I looked it up after finding it and logged the find.

  1. Looks as if you’ve seen a lot. Some beautiful areas and photos. Plenty more to see when you get to the other side of Canada. Half way your holiday now. Is Annelise still enjoying it?

    1. Annelise is still enjoying it. She says she’s glad we’ve got New York out of the way though, and looking forward to the Rockies!
