Sasquatch

In Vancouver today, we picked up our motorhome. It took a while to get all the paperwork and demonstrations done, but eventually everything was completed and we were able to head out our Vancouver on Highway 1. Unfortunately, since I was driving I couldn’t take too many photos along the way. The scenery, and even the changes over a short distance, was incredible, and completely different to Southern Ontario and Australia.

Our campground is not far from Deer Lake, in Sasquatch Provincial Park.
I took some photos around the lake.
A few canoes we’re busy on the lake, and electric motors are permitted in this lake.
The forest adjacent to the lake is temperate rainforest, if I am remembering my geography lessons correctly.
The lake shore would be even more picturesque if not inhabited by many low flying mozzies).
Admiring the flowers that grow next to the lake.
Our motorhome nestled among the trees. The campsites here give everyone a reasonable amount of room.
We revisited the lake a little later. You don’t really see the sunset from here because the lake is shadowed by the mountains long before true sunset.
We enjoyed proper home cooked meals!

  1. All looks very nice, enjoy your trip. Hope you don’t meet any bears in the parks. We did see one when we drove across.

  2. Such beautiful photos of the lake and of the forest …. just the type of photos you would see on pamphlets, especially the one of the motorhome parked at that beautiful campsite 🙂
What a blessing to be able to see God’s awesome creation there!
