Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary

Apologies for the longer post title than usual, but there’s not too many ways to shorten this one. Plus, I always find it a little frustrating that so many people still refer to it as the Theological College, considering they changed their name many years ago now. We had been planning a tour of the Seminary (guided by Uncle Rodney) since soon after arrival, but it had been difficult to get it organised. The seminary was officially closed, but Dr. Van Vliet and Dr. Smith were still working and let us all in.

The Seminary crest.
The seminary chapel, where sermons are practiced and conferences are held.

  1. That must have been special, to see the Theological Seminary after hearing about it quite frequently. Must have brought back memories for Uncle Rodney too …. he probably had a few stories to tell!

  2. We are happy for you that you have seen the CRTS, a beautiful building,’is n’t it?
Just as well that professor van Vliet and Smith were there.
I suppose you spoke to Dr. Smith as well? He reckons his heart is still in Albany!
Rev. van Spronsen showed us the place when we were there.
