Crawford Lake

Today, Uncle Rodney and Auntie Anita took us out to Crawford Lake for the morning and for lunch. We had a wonderful morning together. I’ve got a few photos to share, so I’m splitting things across a couple of posts here.

Just walking through the forest here is amazing, it feels so different than Australia. Just watch out for the poison ivy!
Crawford Lake! It’s a very deep lake with low oxygen levels, so the lower levels of the lake preserve organic matter.
Liam and Tim had to get their feet wet.
Looking at the lake.
A boardwalk runs most of the way around the lake. Reuben and Hannah didn’t want to use it the usual way.
Another view point of the lake.

  1. The area looks beautiful. We’re wondering if it is the same Conservation Park that Auntie Anita took us to when we were in Canada last, but that was in the winter and it looked totally different if it is the same one. Everything is so much greener than it is in Australia.

    1. Just checked with Aunty Anita, and apparently it’s not the same place that you went to with them. It is all so green now, it’s hard to imagine that it will be all orange and red in a few months, and then white not too long after that.
